For the NME contents page we can see that it is very organised. we can see the main image in the center of the page which shows what NME's main focus for this week is. we can see the masthead, which is a direct link to the cover as they have used the same style for the masthead on both pages. On the left we can see the 'band index' which would help a reader navigate their way around the magazine instead of making them have to flick through the pages to find what they want to read. it is clear that these areas of the magazine are what are considered to be the 'least important' as they given a small font and are placed on the left hand side of the contents page. on the right hand side we have the more important articles of the magazine. we know they are more important as they are put into a categories and are much larger in font size. we know this is the contents page as we can see the large 'This Week' at the top of the page. This is the alternative to writing 'Contents'. we are also given a date. also we can take the advertisement at the bottom which tells us about subscribing to NME. This is put in yellow lettering to stand out to the reader.
