Colour scheme is also a huge factor on a music magazine cover. it would mainly depend on what genre the magazine takes and the type of genre that is featured in this magazine. I have done majority of my research on Q magazine which uses colours like red white and black and their primary colours.
This Blog will explore different codes and conventions and other magazine features from popular music magazines and how they will influence my own music magazine product.

independent post
I have been looking into where i would be able to take my original photography. I was thinking that if the artists genre was very particular and reflected a particular mood i would base it on a particular season. also looking a stereotypes was a big help. for example if we look at rap artists we can see them either with a load of money and a fancy car or where they are just starting off into their career and they are still living in an ordinary home or on the 'streets'. Another example would be pop artists who use bright colours and usually form a large crowd for example cold play and their q magazine cover. if i did go with a hip hop or rap genre for my magazine then there is a lot of professional graffiti in Birmingham city centre which would be a suitable background/location for my photography. However judging on what is feature on the graffiti mat imply a different type of music genre. furthermore i could also use a stage as my location as this would give a feel of fame to the artists which would make it look professional.
