This front cover of NME features John Lennon as the main cover star.
Colour scheme: The colour scheme uses very dark and basic colours. we can see black, white and a very dim yellow. i fell that the black and white are used to show the era of music in which he was active in. the dark colours connote that he was very serious about his music. Each of the colours compliment each other well and make the cover stand out as it isn't vibrant like all the other modern day covers.
Layout: The layout is very basic, only using very few amount of cover lines. This is A 60 year issue of NME which may be the reason why there are such few cover-lines. furthermore a puff is used on the cover which is gives an exclusive interview and/or a free offer. it is overall a very neat
Main Image: The main image is of John Lennon who was one of the most iconic stars of the 60s. he is making eye contact. the black and white colour scheme suggests that he was very serious and was a professional artist in his time.
